Toma
Toma
Toma
Toma
Toma guey

Stole my patience, stole my pride
Snatched the rhythm from my stride
Kicked my certainty up the middle
Knocked the wind out of my romantic side

Hopes and wishes set aflame
What's your purpose here, whatcha hope to gain?
Took my dignity, you took my dignity
Burned a lover so earned an enemy.

Time to make it right, that's how it's gonna be.
Watch you pay the toll right in front of me
Time to pay your dues, time to set you straight
Take what you dish out. Toma guey.

Hopes and wishes set aflame
What's your purpose here, whatcha hope to gain?
Took my dignity, you took my dignity
Lost a lover and earned an enemy.

Time to make it right, that's how it's gonna be.
Watch you pay the toll right in front of me
Time to pay your dues, time to set you straight
Take what you dish out. Toma guey.

This isn't correct - it's not "toma away" it's "toma guey" which basically means "take that jerk" in Spanish slang. Source: www.puscifer.com

I'm hesitant to post lyrics changes in case there's an official booklet or something. That said, i'm fairly sure that it's "pay the toll/right in front of me", and "toma guey" rather than "toma away". Toma guey being fairly common (spanish) slang and making a lot more sense... An insult to the song's subject is more in character than telling them to 'take it away'.

    Someone look into this, maybe?

Oh final point as far as meaning goes "imo" it's quite simply someone thats lost his woman/date and is planning on dropping the guy... Oh and i reckon he got kicked in the nuts aswell as losing his girl quote* "kicked my certainty, up the middle, knocked the wind out of my romantic side. " puscifer is very rarely of the same caliber as apc or tool.

Funny someone mentioned that it made them think of the occupy ws movement. I'd like to point out corporate america doesn't take away freedoms, it's the government that takes away freedoms! (that would be more in the tea party realm)

But i don't see that at all, i don't see the where politics is mentioned. I see this as raw emotion... Comming from true experience, not some political agenda, as many of you want to spin it that way.

This to me is someone tossing aside their dignity to seek revenge. Doing what feels so good, but you know is wrong.

    Mamma sed... Keep your dignity

There's a song like this on every album including tool and apc, but i think it's more a personal release of anger than a generalization of society because it's so intense and uses the specific pronoun of "you" so much. The generalized societal commentaries are usually a little more dissociated. Does mjk really like to mock 2012 enough to hide it in that many places because once would be enough unless he thinks there's more to it... ~d
