Where, oh where, can my baby be? the lord took her away from
Me. she's gone to heaven, so Ive got to be good. so I can see my baby when i
Leave this world.

We were out on a date in my daddys car. we hadnt driven very far. there in
The road, straight ahead. a car was stalled, the engine was dead.

I couldnt stop, so I swerved to the right. I'll never forget the sound that
Night. the screamin tires, the bustin glass. the painful scream that I heard

Oh where, oh where, can my baby be? the lord took her away from me. she's gone
To heaven, so Ive got to be good. so I can see my baby when I leave this world.

When I woke up the rain was pourin down. there were people standin all around.
Something warm flowing through my eyes. but somehow I found my baby that night.
I lifted her head, she looked at me and said. hold me darling, just a little
While. I held her close, I kissed her our last kiss. I found the love that i
Knew I had missed.

Well now she's gone. even though I hold her tight. I lost my love, my life,
That night.

Oh where, oh where, can my baby be? the lord took her away from me. she's gone
To heaven, so Ive got to be good. so I can see my baby when I leave this

This is number 3 on my list of sad songs. Wanna hear the others?

Oh, and lawlcakes, do you think your message is long enough?

I know this song is about true love but this song really gets to me. My grandma recently died. I know it's sad I cried a lot and it took me some time to get over it. And when I was six, my mom died which took longer to get over than my grandma because I got to see my mom more often and things were a lot different. Don't get me wrong, it was alot more different without my grandma. You know what I mean. But, everytime I hear all these songs about people dying I think of them and trust me it's no laughing matter!

Just sat down and listened to this song I sort of knew that is was about an accident - so I always turned it off - that's because this happened to me. The only difference was I wasn't driving. When the car hit I knew she was gone, I was out for a little while and when I came too I leaned over and told someone for the first time that I loved them and gave Bronwyn a last kiss - and then something warm flowed through me just like in the song - that was the bit that really got to me in the song - and that was 32 years ago and the pain never goes. I will not be able to listen to this beautiful song again.

To me, last kiss, expresses the deepest sorrow that one can feel, when they realize that they will never again see or feel the spirit that was lost, of not saying I love you enough, or seeing their smile again. That life's greatest sorrow is regret. The greatest joy is love. The greatest gift is forgiveness.
