Right, superstar123, first, you can't spell insomniac and this song does not 'curse' anyone. Seriously, if you wrote a song, what would you write it about? It's not illigal to vent your feelings out through a song. Virtually every song is to do with love, just as this one is. Just because you don't like this song, you don't have to call the people 'tone-deaf toads'. This song is beautiful and so is fireflies. If you don't like it or owl city, why the hell did you look up the lyrics? If you don't like it, too damn bad, because there are people who do.

I think it's about a guy talking about love of his life. How they got separated i don't know but he surely misses her.

It brings back memories associated with the smell. I wonder why owl city chose vanilla. But it's my personal favorite. It brings me comfort and peace. Twilight is the most depressing and saddest part of the day. The sun is down, darkness creeps up. There's a sense of loss that the day is over. Perfect for brooding and reminiscing. But hope springs in the fact you know the sun will rise again tomorrow.

I love owl city. He has a way with words that they are more poetic than just song lyrics. I think he is sensitive, and most guys should follow his lead. I don't think you could fake the emotions conveyed in his song. He has captured what most of us feell and eloquently put it to music. The song is just beautiful, sad but beautiful.
