I'm burned out like a bright light, I wasn't ready for this
You're adorable as hell, but I'm glancing at your wrist
Oh please have faith, I can be so cavalier
And when they start to ask questions I'll make sure to be clear

And when you see my friends tell them hi for me
And tell them what you think about the way you handled everything
You turned and all you left me with was this broken key
So tell me what you think

Give it up for the long nights and all those terrible fights
Were you honest with yourself, every version of yourself?
Did you get lost on the side of the road
?
If you keep acting this way, I swear I'll never come home

And when you see my friends, tell them hi for me
And tell them what you think about the way you handled everything
We walk alone on this broken road for eternity
So give me company and help me sing this lonely melody
You turned and all you left me with was this broken key
So tell me what you think

Sign me up, no regrets, make a man out of me
And I won't say a word and I'll give all the things that you want
And I need just to give me some peace
At the bottom of the ocean, there's a place for you and me
Lead the way, straight ahead, you gave me the time of my life
And cut like a knife to the bone

When you see my friends, tell them hi for me
And tell them what you think about the way you handled everything
So neat and clean well the world is full of such pretty things
So do your best for me

I think it was about a girl who cuts and it does hurt him, but also when it says " when you see my friends , tell them hi for me" maybe he's saying that if you do commit suicide then say hi to my friends who have died that are in heaven?

This song is about him and a girl ending a relationship, badly. She tells his friends many things about the relationship that weren't true, she's trying to make him look bad and make herself look good. But what he knows is that she cuts herself, and she isn't happy about the break up either. So he's telling her to tell his friends the truth, about the cutting and stop lying about the break up. That's why he says "tell them what you think about the way you handles everything" he wants her to tell them how much it has hurt her (the break up), he won't tell them on his own so she should just tell his friends the truth. His friends are asking him, and he is keeping quiet as they just hear her version.

A guy is burned out like a bright light and thrown across the room thrown off his feet not expecting when the girl he thought would never hurt him did and broke up with him. He's saying she's adorable as hell but he's glancing at her wrist knowing that she's been hurt before and he wants to heal her. And he's asking her to please have faith in him and stay with him and when people (his and her friends) start asking why they broke up he'll tell them why and he'll tell them clearly why. Then he tells his new ex he says 'when you see my friends tell them hi for me and tell them what you think about the way you handled everything you turned and all you left me with was this broken key
So tell me what you think' then he tells her to give it up and asks her if she was honest with herself and did she get lost on the side of the road. Then he makes a final stand trying to get her to come back and help him sing the final song and to make a man out of him he won't say a word he'll give her all the things she wants he just wants some peace to be back with her saying at the bottom of the ocean there's a place for you and me and for he to lead the way even though she gave him the time of his life and hurt him and cut him like a knife strait to the bone he wants her to come back and not leave.

Well, i feel his song is about a couple. The relationship was going great, and he was extremely happy with it, but she was slowly fading. She began feeling suicidal, and eventually threw herself off a bridge in a night of extreme hate ("at the bottom of the ocean, there's a place for you and me). The man was devastated and wished he could have given her everything("you gave me the time of my life and cut like a knife to the bone... And i won't say a word and i'll give all the things you want and i need") but in the end, he was broken too, and just wishes she would come back. But because it's final, he simply just tells the girl he's a bit disappointed and asks her to say to his friends who have ended their lives the same way.

"when you see my friends" is the ultiment break-up song. It reminds me of a relationship that everything went wrong in and quickly.

It is like he is screaming, i love you. But i respect you want to move on.

It is probably my favorite song by mayday parade, i feel like it is one of there most vulnerable songs.
