I actually agree with rawr, i think it could be about a long distance relationship too, but i think the whole it being about a girl who keeps coming to the guy when she needs him then pushes him away thing makes sense. The song is like a lot of things, you get out what you put in. If you come in thinking about a long distance relationship, then that's what the song will mean to you, same as if your thinking about being screwed over my someone. I've actually had the exact thing rawr said happen to me. I was head over heals for a girl and she dumped me then only came back when she was upset about her boyfriend and i was always there with open arms. So when i hear this song that's what i think of. Like most songs.books and other things, you find the meaning your looking for. Either way, this song is genius and mayday parade is fucking epic!!!

I think it's probably moreso an example of two people who were eachother's everything, but they parted their ways and they keep bumping into eachother and that makes them realize they do love eachother. They try to be together, but they know it won't work. That's why it's the wrong night. They can't be together.

Well i agree with most of the comments about a long distance relatonship but when it says "i'm reaching down and hoping this one's ours" i always think that maybe the girl has cheated on him before and got pregnate and shes pregnate again and hes hoping its his and hers... But im not sure. Help?

I agree its about a long distance relationship, but
wen they finally see each other he "falls to peices" because he has 2 tell her its over. She "falls into his arms" because she still loves him
which makes it so hard for him to tell her the truth. He hopes it wors out okay, buts doubts it will ={ at least ths wat i think anyway...

This part sounds like they r in a long distance relationship and she just hopes he doesnt lose his love for her by them being away. The rest sounds like when they are together they are really happy but when they are away its hard.

Well... I'm pretty sure about most of this song, what it means, that is. I'm not exactly positive, but i have a little bit of certainty on the matter. Like, "at least you fell to me" probably refers to, at least she didn't cheat. The lyrics "i wonder if you see them where you are" and "it's been too long since i've heard you sing" suggest a long-distance relationship. I believe that "and then i fell into pieces, and she fell into me" hints at being overjoyed at seeing each other, and they are immediately in the others' arms... But... I'm curious as to some things... Such as, i really don't understand what they mean by "but this is the wrong night, tell me goodnight and let it go" and also, the first and fourth paragraphs of the lyrics confuse me. If anyone would be so kind as to attempt explaining it to me, i would greatly appreciate it. :] oh, and mayday parade rocks!!

I think its about two people in a long distance relationship. And when the guy comes to see the girl there so happy they can only just fall in eachothers arms. And hes trying really hard to stay with her...
