i think this song is about a girl cheating on a boy and he is still deeply in love with her but he can't forgive her for what she has done to him. she also wants him back but he's scared that she'll do the same thing again. and the finds it to hard to deal with and he doesn't want her to do it again. so he isn't going to get back with her. he loved her so much and he doesn't want to forget her but he has to.
