Grandpa, tell me 'bout the good old days
Sometimes it feels like this world's gone crazy
And Grandpa, take me back to yesterday
When the line between right and wrong
Didn't seem so hazy
Did lovers really fall in love to stay
And stand beside each other, come what may?
Was a promise really something people kept
Not just something they would say?
Did families really bow their heads to pray
Did daddies really never go away?
Oh, Grandpa, tell me 'bout the good old days [ Lyrics from: http://www.lyricsmode.com/lyrics/j/judds/grandpa_tell_me_bout_the_good_old_days.html ]
Grandpa, everything is changing fast
We call it progress, but I just don't know
And Grandpa, let's wander back into the past
And paint me the picture of long ago
Did lovers really fall in love to stay
And stand beside each other, come what may?
Was a promise really something people kept
Not just something they would say, and forget
Did families really bow their heads to pray
Did daddies really never go away?
Oh, Grandpa, tell me 'bout the good old days
Oh, Grandpa, tell me 'bout the good old days

This was a time of innocence, of when a handshake was someone's bond with another. God was in our homes, our schools, and our lives. Divorce was not a convenience, marriage vows were sacred. Our doors weren't always locked and families were close and children listened to and respected their elders. It was a time i dearly miss.
This song man it make me sad at times then when i think of it, it's a better place where my koro's is so they would never suffer the pain i miss my koro's hards and this song means alot to me :(
