When I'm nervous, I have this thing yeah, I talk too much,
Sometimes I just can't shut the hell up.
It's like I need to tell someone, anyone who'll listen
And that's where I seem to fuck up.

Yeah, I forget about the consequences,
For a minute there I lose my senses
And in the heat of the moment,
My mouth's starts going, the words start flowing, ohh

But I never meant to hurt you,
I know it's time that I learnt to
Treat the people I love, like I wanna be loved,
This is a lesson learnt!

I hate that I let you down and I feel so bad about it!
I guess karma comes back around,
Cause now I'm the one that's hurting, yeah.
And I hate that I made you think that the trust we had is broken,
So don't tell me you can't forgive me cause nobody's perfect,
No, no, no, no, no, no, no...
Nobody's perfect, no!

If I could turn back the hands of time,
I swear I never would've cross that line.
I should have kept it between us
But Jessie went and told the whole world how she's feeling ohh

So I sit and I realize
With these tears falling from my eyes,
I gotta change if I wanna keep you forever,
I'm promise that I'm gonna try!

No, no, no, no, no, no, no...

I'm not a saint, no, not at all,
But what I did it, that wasn't cool,
But I swear that I'll never do that again to you!
Hey, no!

I'm not a saint (I'm not a saint!), No, not at all (no, not at all!),
But what I did (but what I did!), That wasn't cool (that wasn't cool!)
But I swear that I'll never do that again to you!
Hey!

And I hate that I let you down (let you down),
And I feel so bad about it (feel so bad!)
I guess karma comes back around (karma comes back around)
Cause now I'm the one that's hurting, yeah!
And I hate that I made you think that (I hate that I made you think)
That the trust we had is broken (b-b-b-broken!)
So don't tell me you can't forgive me
Cause nobody's perfect.
No, no, no, no, no, no, no...

Nobody's perfect.

Nobody is perfect. How true. Despite the valid message, one wonders exactly what Jessie J (well, the songwriters) did to hurt this person so much. Could be cheating. "The trust is broken" line seems all too familiar to those who commit infidelity. And ultimately, what goes around comes around. The hurt that Jessie J inflicted on an apparent love interest inevitably came back around to her, and in the end, she also suffers.

However, it could be something less serious, as implied in the verses. She seems to have told a secret to someone she shouldn't have, and the person she's singing to is pissed. This is something anyone can relate to, be it a mature adult or a 10-year-old. We all have the potential to let our friends down. The chorus though is what I take issue with. Jessie J argues that because nobody is perfect, and because of this, the person should be able to forgive her. The forgiveness, like it or not, isn't up to her. What is forgivable to one person may be unforgivable to another. Regardless, the sentiment is real and the lyrics are self aware and reflective - kudos to the songwriters!

Nobody perfect is there any other meaning then that? I learned not to be obssesed with any famouse singer or actor because we are all the same and no one deserves any other treatment just because he has puplicity talents like acting or singing, we are all the same cause nobodys perfect.

This is about a couple and one of them ends up doing something that causes the other to hurt and heart to break. Perhaps they cheated or whatever the case maybe but the one who did wrong has lost the other affection and trust. So they are trying apologize and they the other they will never hurt them again if only they get a second chance because ultimately nobody's perfect and we all make a mistake or two.

My cousin is dating my best friend. My cousin is a 'playboy' and my friend thinks that she's so special or important to him. So, I've told her about my cousin's ex gf and how he acts the same way with her. My 'friend' told that to my cousin and I wonder if he'll talk to me again. I've made a mistake but I don't want to lose him. This song perfectly describes my life right now.
