I absolutely love this song. It definitely inspires thoughts, and the slow, smooth melody of "Prettiest Friend" is one that doesn't get old. The thing is, I love this song... but so does my parents, which is kind of weird, hahaha.
The lyrics are self-explanatory - the "narrator" loves this friend of his, and he's just over-whelmed by her beauty, and, I'm guessing, her character as well. She doesn't know that he loves her, but the "narrator" wishes that they find eachother one day.
i think this song means how much he loves her and is too afraid to show it but tries to cover it up by writing a beautiful song that doesn't really make a lot of sense... but it is a really good song and i love it! i just wish a boy cared about me like that!
