I think this song is beautifal, and is a man saying goodbye to his death love/wife , he will raise their kids, he has spent his life with and seen every emotion laugh , cry , and when he is in bed he can still feel her near, and wishes she was

it'sabout a woman who has been trapped in a very unhappy marriage ,from the old school.Took for herself a computer teacher to learn how to use the computer ,just a young and very poor man ,practicaly a son to her .she wanted to help him .she was so gracious ,generous ,kind to him.wanted him to do well in his life ,as that was her caracter,extremely loving and giving.she helped people.so unaware to her ,he falls in love with her,as he said later ,it wasn't meant to happen this way.so the woman doesnt even realise it ,as she had never experienced someone being in love with her.as she was in a loveless marriage with the only man she knew in her life.,abusive and all.so when the young man declares his love to her ,she doesn't know how to react ,so she thinks he is joking with her .unknown to her ,he would cry himself to sleep every night over her love ,or just not sleep.she was double his age .he had not known love in his life .he had gone through war as a soldier.he was a.d.d ,throughout his child hood.and there was this beautiful Angel , showering him with love ,with her kindest heart ,and her pure beauty ,anawre of how he was feeling .

i think this song is about someone who changed your life who you love very much and wish you could be with but know it will never work out because you two are to different and feel like you just arent enough for that person. So you know you have to say goodbye because it will never work even though you cant imagine your life without them.

He met her and eventhough he knew they cant be together he still gone out with her for some time.
But then came the day where he felt he couldnt do that anymore so he broke up with her and let her know in this song that she means the world for him and that the day will come when he will feel ready and marry her.
