"hosanna" (greek transcription: ὡσαννά, hōsanna) is the cry of praise or adoration shouted in recognition of the messiahship of jesus on his entry into jerusalem, hosanna! Blessed is the one who comes in the name of the lord! [7] it is used in the same way in christian praise. Overall, it seems that "hosanna" is a cry for salvation; while at the same time is a declaration of praise. Therefore, it may be derived that this plea for help is out of an agreeably positive connotation. The old interpretation "save, now! " which may be a popular etymology, is based on psalm 118: 25.

When I hear this song, it makes me to reflect on the majesty of god and how great and awesome he is! It makes me think about jesus our king of kings and lord of lords; nothing and no one can be compared with god the father, god the son and god the holy spirit! Thank you father for sending your son jesus to die on the cross for my sins, sickness, disease, and whatever else that tries to take me out and thank you jesus for sending the comforter, the holy spirit when you left to lead, guide, comforter, intercede, and whatever else I need. I love the trinity!

I am trinidadian residing in the commonwealth of dominica in the west indies. I was tuning in to the gospel radio station, voice of life one afternoon and caught this song as it was nearing its end, and my pores just rose, my stomach felt a nervousness as what mimics butterflies. This song is truly annointed. It has and continues to inspire me to worship 'the' most high god. Blessings israel. Continue to be a vessel that god uses to draw us into his presence in worship. Masterpiece! God bless you.
