Israel Houghton – We Speak To Nations lyrics

Hear the sound
The sound of the nations calling
Hear the sound
The sound of the fatherless crying
Who will go for us
Who will shout to the corners
Of the earth
That Christ is King

We speak to nations
Be open
We speak to nations
Fall on your knees
We speak to nations
The kingdom is coming near to you
Oh we speak to strongholds
Be broken
Power of darkness
You have to flee
We speak to nations
The kingdom is coming near to you
We speak to you
Be free be free

Hear the sound
The sound of the nations worshipping
Hear the sound
Of sons and daughters singing
We will go for you
We will shout to the corners of the earth
That Christ is King

Rpt Chorus 2 times

The song is based on the book of Isaiah, where he is called to become a prophet. Once his sins were cleansed by God through a seraphim, he is able to hear the words of God asking requesting "who will go for us?" and "whom shall I send". Isaiah responds confidently exclaiming "here am I! send me". Just like Isaiah we should be willing to serve the word of God to not just the person next to us, but more importantly - all nations! God is asking us if we are prepared to accept his instructions to shout his name to every corner of the earth that he is king, thus drawing others closer to Him so that they may also know the love of the almighty Father in heaven.

A painful cry out to all nations to open up to jesus christ, especially to nations where the gospel is limited to underground fellowship. Governments need to come to their senses and declare that jesus is the only way out of our circumstances for the kingdom of god is coming and it is very near. And whether or not you bow down now, there is a time that is coming soon, when all nations and every tongue will confess that jesus christ is king.
