The Jester Race lyrics

It is indeed a very complicated song, or at least it seems to be to me. However, i would have to say that after carefully looking at the lyrics, it seems to be about religion. I am by no means a professional at this, so your feedback is certainly welcome, but this is why i come to this conclusion:

Rush faster down this one way lane: possibly referring to life, and going about it blindly, quickly, or without thought or free will. Only one way to go hinted at life.

Rusty gods in their machine mind armours: i would say that this is both associating gods with machines and asserting their inability to change or adapt, very binary in right wrong for instance.

Embracing the tools of the neo-wolf age, that speaks of silence and silence alone: i don't know what a wolf age is, but it sounds like it would be from history or past, and neo wolf age, and it's tools, would therefore be the tools of the ages past, assuming i am correct. I could not find any info on "wolf age" however, so it is possibly just a construct for this song. Speaking of silence may mean that it has no true answer to give, or that the answer is hollow.

Offering the tokens, the reliced idols
To the heirs of the newly raped grounds... : reliced mean old, antiqued, or obsolete, and everybody already knows what idols are, so this may be saying that we put a new name on the same gods or ideas. Possibly saying that we make new religions, or change the ones we have, but that it is all the same basic idea.

Gaia impaled on their horns and their lances: this may mean that they have destroyed the world, torn the world apart, or gained control in violent manner.

As the throng of blind men savour the scent
Dream-dead from prosaic and hate: a throng is a crowed, so this may mean that a large group of people, who can't see the whole, or who don't care about it, (those seeking power, money etc. ) and that they don't have dreams or visions, possibly for the future because of hatred and "prosaic" which means boring or unoriginal. When it says "savors the scent" it could mean reaping the reward, or enjoying their victory.

The machinery outlives the futile scripts
Of our dying jester race: i believe that this is saying that religion, or whatever the subject matter might be, is going to outlast our individual lives, and from the overall tone of the song, i would say that this is not considered good.

It is entirely possible, if not probable, that i am wrong in my assumption. I believe that there are many things that it could be speaking of, but religion is the one that i can support most easily. If you have a different idea about what it is about, i would really like to hear it, it is possible that i am missing something that you see, and the free exchange of our ideas can only strengthen our understanding further. =)

I can't believe nobody's said what this song is about. This song is rather complicated, but i think its about how people have been like "jesters" and trying to please others, like slaves, but now machines are doing the work that these people used to do
