The song take this life by in flames is about emotion, death and love, if you'll look at the lyrics the part before the chorus says "if i ever, if i ever, make me want to stand up for whatever" that means he wants someone to make him stand up for whats right, hence the lyrics " make me want to stand up for whatever" after that part theres lyrics the third part after those lyrics means he wants the girl he loves or his family to tell him if they want him and/or want to be there for him, hence the lyrics " make me understand you're there for me" thats what the song means, and i would know because they told me.

This song is not emo but has emotion in it. It's very philospocial since it's not about killing yourself, but the idea of it. The meaning is about taking this life and making the best of it. It's a plea for help, but if you don't feel like shit sometimes then your not taking the most of your life live it love it and keep it.

I do not think this is an "emo" song... Just because it is about suicide doesnt make it emo... Not all emos are suicidal and not all suicidal people are emos

Yes it sounds extremely emo etc but i love this song never the less. It's about someone that is constantly thinking every bad thing possible about themselves and they want anyone's help even though they try and pretend its ok (2nd line). Just read the bridge (if i never.. If i never ... Make me understand your there for me) and the chorus (take this life, im right here. Stay a while and breathe me in) means the person in perspective either wants you to be there for them or just hurry up and get rid of them

Ohhh and as apposed to cassy1196's post... Ppl listen to music and remember good music that holds meaning to them... And its not the guitar riffs that hold meaning to ppl.. Yeah the lyrics are fast and hard to understand unless you know them.. Reguardless.. If you dont know what the song is about or dont give a damn then obviously the song holds no meaning for you so your post is very meaningless keep up the bad work.

1 word emo.. Talking about takeing his own life... He's right there... Water drops just beg to hit me " chinese water torture " take his life.. Hes right there... Lonely... I call upon you.. Perhaps to god.. Take him apart and put him back together right... Burn his efforts in the end they mean nothing.. As in you can try hard for something in life but no matter how hard one may try it or he never reached it.. Make me understand your there for me... God.. Id say evaluateing.. Its not about relationships or a song wrote for an ex girlfriend.. Its about a suicidal song writer.. Well more so emo.. But its more of a religious standpoint to god to take his life.. Put him back together but right.. Gods sapposed to be there for all.. But hes begging god to be there for him.. He cant fix his problems.. And who else do ppl pray to when everything in thier life goes bad or whatever.. God.. Im sure i could evaluate more.. But ppl can catch my drift
