Another turning point, a fork stuck in the road
Time grabs you by the wrist, directs you where to go
So make the best of this test, and don't ask why
It's not a question, but a lesson learned in time
It's something unpredictable, but in the end it's right.
I hope you had the time of your life. [ Lyrics from: http://www.lyricsmode.com/lyrics/g/green_day/good_riddance_time_of_your_life.html ]
So take the photographs, and still frames in your mind
Hang it on a shelf in good health and good time
Tattoos of memories and dead skin on trial
For what it's worth it was worth all the while
It's something unpredictable, but in the end it's right.
I hope you had the time of your life.
It's something unpredictable, but in the end it's right.
I hope you had the time of your life.
It's something unpredictable, but in the end it's right.
I hope you had the time of your life.

To me the first stanza says that change is happening all around us and it'doftne hard to get through everything cause you have to much on your mind. It also says to me that if your lost and directionless dont ask questions because you'll get more confused, but follow your heart and you'll find the right path even if it takes a while its there somewhere. In the second stanza it says to me that even if its hard for you, just remember the memories of everything that was good and happy and it will guide you to the light, it will help you find your right path. The chorus to me says that no one knows what will happen and that it all depends on which path you choose, but which ever path you choose someone will always be ther to help you and guide you, hoping that you have a better life down the path you've chosen xxx
I don't really know the meaning of this song that well, but i do love it! My step-dad sang this at a funeral one time though, so it doesn't really fit with a happy event for me.
