Insomnia. its not really something describeable. mostly people believe its caused by exhaustion. most likely when someone's tired and all worked up. but not able to sleep. "I'm counting sheep but running out" he's done everything in his hands to rest. yet he cant find sleep because it's not there.

yet he cant control his brain. he cant sleep.bothered by all problems and worries of the world.
He's talking about insomnia. There isn't any specific reason given for it. However, the repeated line "on my own, here we go" gives me reason to think that maybe the insomnia is caused by being alone in the world for the first time and working just to make it to tomorrow, and putting your health on the backburner just to live.
