What has come over me
What madness taken hold of my heart
To run away, the only answer
Pulling me away
To fall upon (the night)
The source of my recovery
Sweet shadow taking hold of the light
Another day has been devoured
Calling me away, begging a question
Why?
For saving me from all they've taken
Letting my armor fall again
Giving me the strength to face them
Feeling it taking over
Now on a path to take it all away
There can be no better way of knowing
[Chorus]
In a world beyond controlling
Are you gonna deny the savior
In front of your eyes
Stare into the night
Power beyond containing
Are you gonna remain a slave for
The rest of your life
Give into the night
This self discovery
Redemption taking hold of my mind
A serenade of haunting voices
Calling me away
To feast upon the(the night)
Source of my felicity
Dark Maiden taking hold of my hand
Lead me away from hibernation
Strong and unafraid
Never a question why
For saving me from all they've taken
Letting my armor fall again
Giving me the strength to face them
Feeling it taking over now
On a path to take it away
There can be no better way of knowing
[Chorus]
In a world beyond controlling
Are you gonna deny the savior
In front of your eyes
Stare into the night
Power beyond containing
Are you gonna remain a slave for
The rest of your life
Give into the night
[Guitar Solo]
Give in to the night
[Chorus]
In a world beyond controlling
Are you gonna deny the savior
In front of your eyes
Stare into the night
Power beyond containing
Are you gonna remain a slave for
The rest of your life
Give into the night
Night [x3]
Give into the Night
Night [x3]
Give into the Night [x2]
i love this song so much i think it means he is trying to escape something he dont like i think thats what the song means but i love this song i berly heared them 3 days ago and i liked how they sing they sing really good!!!
from carina hehe
i believe that the darkness is a ill'ness, like manic-depression, or being bi-polar (im not trying to affend, im bi-polar, so plz dont start yelling at me because "you dont know what it's like!" because i do (i am also not saying that if u have a disorder or an illness that you are broken/messed up, plz try to understand that im not trying to b hateful, or trying to offend)) and that you have the power to help yourself, and just because you have something wrong that ur powerless, or being controled by it. i think he's talking about his problems, like, he might have a mental disorders, and he, or maybe he's talking about someone else he know, that they're trying to be helped but might not see it, or want it. and that if they dont want help they might as well give into there problems.
thanks for taking the time to read my post...if you would like more information, or if your a disturbed, my E-Mail address is tony_nock@yahoo.com...plz no spaming...try to be mature, plz!
I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS SONG. To me it say that for you to deny the fact the individual will have a good thing and let it all walk away the savior being the one to save you from the darkness. the night is that symbol of anger and agony that you have become a slave to and so its controlling you yet theres hope for some in that staring the night and embracing where you went instead of fearing it you rule no loner the slave
this song is kickass no matter what it means. but i think it has to do more with their song indestructable than you might thibk. think how someone might feel when they are dying and their vision is going black, hence the night. the savior could be the one to strike the killing blow and save from the pain.
I got into this band after hearing Indestructible on the radio, and then having heard Taken and Down With The Sickness as well. I really had no clue that they've been around for almost a decade. Wow.
Anyway, as far as the meaning goes, this would suit four games perfectly, UT3, PROTOTYPE, Condemned 2: Bloodshot, & Army Of Two.
