Another dream that will never come true
Just to compliment your sorrow
Another life that I've taken from you
A gift to add on to your pain and suffering
Another truth you can never believe
Has crippled you completely
All the cries you're beginning to hear
Trapped in your mind, and the sound is deafening
Let me enlighten you
This is the way I pray
[Chorus:]
Living just isn't hard enough
Burn me alive, inside
Living my life's not hard enough
Take everything away [ Lyrics from: http://www.lyricsmode.com/lyrics/d/disturbed/prayer.html ]
Another nightmare about to come true
Will manifest tomorrow
Another love that I've taken from you
Lost in time, on the edge of suffering
Another taste of the evil I breed
Will level you completely
Bring to life everything that you fear
Live in the dark, and the world is threatening
Let me enlighten you
This is the way i pray
[Chorus]
Return to me, return to me, return to me, turn to me, leave me no one
Turn to me, return to me, return to me, turn to me, cast aside
Return to me, return to me, return to me, turn to me, leave me no one
Turn to me, return to me, return to me, you've made me turn away
[Chorus Variant:]
Living just isn't hard enough
Burn me alive, inside
Living my life's not hard enough,
They take everything from you

Religion works.. But..
What if its more about man vs humanity? I was thinking about it and the verse "another taste of the evil i breed" just somehow dont seem to fit well with a religious statement. Humanity will throw everything it has at you. What you think is real only to find out it isnt. People in high place who are supposed to help you dont. Politics and greed. Religion and lies. Enemies masked as friend. All the things trying to hold you down. Break you. But we come back. Strip you to nothing with hardship after hardship. But were still here.

Its a conversation between draiman and god, the chorus is draiman, the verses are god. In the light of nine eleven, many religious figures were saying it was a punishment from god. Draiman found this disturbing and decided to tell god to bring it on if he wants to punish people. The things god is saying in the song are references to the death of draimans grandfather, who was a holocaust survivor, and the lives lost in 9/11
Their lyrics touch me in a way that few bands do--perception translates through experiencing tough times and coming out on top regardless of what the world throws my way!
Disturbed kicks ass. Period. Awesomest band ever. And they just happen to be coming near me when i'll be in new york. That sucks. I had really wanted to see them live. Two of my friends have the tickets and are rubbing them in my face. Xp
