Demi Lovato – Believe In Me lyrics

I'm losing myself
Trying to compete
With everyone else
Instead of just being me
I don't know where to turn
I've been stuck in this routine
I need to change my ways
Instead of always being weak

I don't wanna be afraid
I wanna wake up feeling beautiful
And know that I'm okay
Cause everyone's perfect in unusual
Ways you see
I just wanna believe in me

La la la la, la la la la
The mirror can lie
Doesn't show you what's inside
And it, it can tell you your full of life
It's amazing what you can hide
Just by putting on a smile

I don't wanna be afraid
I wanna wake up feeling beautiful
And know that I'm okay
Cause everyone's perfect in unusual
Ways you see
I just wanna believe in me

I'm quickly finding out
I'm not about to break down...
Not today
I guess I always knew
That I had all the strength
To make it through

Not gonna be afraid
I'm gonna wake up feeling beautiful
And know that I'm okay
Cause everyone's perfect in unusual
Ways you see
Now, now I believe in me
Now I believe in me

Being yourself and believing in yourself are 2 completely different things. You can go da to day, doing the stuff you love, being who you want to be, but after every step, you may look back and regret it. I know I do sometimes. This song made me think of that. You guys can think I'm crazy, ok. I know a lot of people do, but ot really mind. My friends, and some of my teachers see that I'm different- I see things differently. That's just my thing. Everyone has their own. They simply need to find it, and thier thirst for finding themselves will be quenched. This song states that loud and clear- some may not get that. You have to listen really hard. Go ahead, turn the volume up on full- youstill may not hear it. Most don't. Don't think about anything other that the words. Don't concentrate on trying to get them. Just listen.

I love this song and I have the album Don't Forget I listen to it all the time. I have it on my ipod and really this song is about being your self and not no one else. And also that you're beautiful. I hope she makes more songs like this cause then were going to love it. I love Demi Lovato and I've loved her since she came out in Camp Rock. And to the ones that are saying s*t about her stop it. She tries her hardest to make us happy and trying to make her self happy. You'll are juat haters she don't deserve to be treated like thos so if I were you guys jsut shut up and let her male the ones that love her like her. So haters just shut the f*k up at least she isn't making wrong choices she's doing the right thing so just keep your mouth shut and think before you talk.
Keep rockin' demi! Your my role model and just keep being happy!

Believe in me is amazing! My whole life I have been having an internal war wih myself. I know I need to believe in myself, and to have faith in good things, but I have never been able to do that because I sometimes don't even know who I am, and I hate getting hurt because I have my hopes up too high. I have always felt all alone, even when surrounded by hundreds of people. When I listen to this song, (its on my ipod) I feel a little bit better each time, because it lets me know that other people, even demi, have problems with finding themselves, and staying there once you are finally happy. It is hard to be different, and I know that everyone is, but the real difference, when it comes down t it, is wether or not you are being yourself, and being happy doing it, or not. I listened to this the first time and cried. Music has always been my escape reality. I connect to it. This song is what I have been trying to tell people forever, but they don't listen- that's less painfull, they believe.

This song is very powerful when you listen to it you just wanna start crying. I'm 12 years old and my name is sheila and I really think I'm ugly and not smart. But when I listen to this song it make me feel pretty and smart I'm a big demi lovato fan and I wish I could meet her one day and just hug her and say thanks for everything you done for me. Demi is my idol. Love this song and demi.

I rescue horses from slaughter, and when I heard this song for the first time I was looking at a picture I took earlier from a sale. It was a picture of an old, very thin mare that went to the doggers. It was as though she was talking straight to my heart through your song Demi. It touched me. I've been inspired to carry on my work, one horse at a time, even when things gets tough and money gets tight.
