Counting Crows is an Academy Award nominated American alternative rock band originating from Berkeley, California. They became highly popular in 1994 following the release of their debut album August and Everything After, which featured the hit song "Mr. Jones." Their influences include R.E.M., Van Morrison, Bob Dylan and The Band.
