You know Dasher and Dancer and Prancer and Vixen,
Comet and Cupid and Donner and Blitzen.,
But do you recall?
The most famous reindeer of all?

Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer (reindeer)
Had a very shiny nose (like a lightbulb)
And if you ever saw it (saw it)
You would even say it glows (like a flashlight)
And all of the other reindeer (reindeer)
Used to laugh and call him names (like pinochio)
They never let poor Rudolph (Rudolph)
Join in any reindeer games( like monopoly)

Then one foggy Christmas Eve,
Santa came to say, (ho ho ho)
Rudolph with your nose so bright,
Won't you guide my sleigh tonight?

Then all the reindeer loved him,(loved him)
And they shouted out with glee, (yippie)
Rudolph the red-nose Reindeer (reindeer)
You'll go down in history (like George Washington)

Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer (reindeer)
Had a very shiny nose (like a lightbulb)
And if you ever saw it,(saw it)
You would even say it glows,(like a flashlight)
And all of the other reindeer (reindeer)
Used to laugh and call him names,(like pinochio)
They never let poor Rudolph(roudolph)
Join in any reindeer games,(like monopoly)

Then one foggy Christmas Eve,
Santa came to say,(ho ho ho)
Rudolph with your nose so bright,
Won't you guide my sleigh tonight?

Then how the reindeer loved him,(loved him)
And shouted out with glee,(yippie)
Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer,(reindeer)
You'll go down in history. (like Elvis)

It means even other people is not popular you even need to give them respect and not ignore them because of who they are. They can do things that an ordinary people can't do, and do something good. Rudolph is a good reindeer but nobody sees it yet, but when they saw it they started to love him.

Rudolf the red nose reindeer is one of the most famous christmas animals of all time! He comes up in many christmas songs and carols. He also drives santa's sleigh on christmas eve to deliver all the presents to the boys and girls, without him father christmas would not be able to see in the dark night of december!

Omg !!! After 68 years of singing this carol every year i have just figured out the story. Derrr
I always thought the words said "won't you 'drive' my sleigh tonight"
It's won't you 'guide' my sleigh tonight. Of course ... It's a foggy night and his nose was to be used as the light to show the way. Now i understand ha.. Old-but-still-learning ...
