They say freak,
When you're singled out,
The red, well it filters through.
So lay down, the threat is real,
When his sight goes red again.
Seeing red again,
Seeing red again.
This change, he won't contain,
Slip away, to clear your mind.
When asked, who made it show,
The truth, he gives in to most. [ Lyrics from: http://www.lyricsmode.com/lyrics/c/chevelle/the_red.html ]
So lay down, the threat is real,
When his sight goes red again.
So lay down, the threat is real,
When his sight goes red again.
So lay down, the threat is real,
When his sight goes red again.
Seeing red again,
Seeing red again,
Seeing red again,
Seeing red again,
Seeing red again,
Seeing red again,
Seeing red again,
Seeing red....
They say freak...
When you're singled out.
The red, it filters through...
Seeing red again is clearing about somebody who has been beaten down, physically and emotionally. The red is blood. When blood is streaming down your face your sight turns red, whether it's the blood or just seeing stars. And possibly a double meaning in "seeing red", is that it's an emotional reaction to this violence, he probably wants to kill anybody he sees.
Its kinda the thing, i think, where theres that one kid who everyone picks on for no good reason... And then he goes psycho, for quite a good reason. The "so lay down the treat is real" is like "get the hell outta the way, kuz this is your fault and now your going to pay. " yea.
I see it as anger at being singled out for being different. And perhaps taking the anger out on others, hence "so lay down, the threat is real, when his sight goes red again. " that's like warning people about his anger. That's what i think, at least.
In my eyes the red is his anger and frustration and that when his sigh goes red again he's frustrateda hence the scene in the music video in the anger managment class so thats my guess its what you make it i guess
