If I have to
I would put myself right beside you
So let me ask
Would you like that?
Would you like that?

And I don't mind
If you say this love is the last time
So now I'll ask
Do you like that?
Do you like that?

No

Something's getting in the way
Something's just about to break
I will try to find my place in the diary of Jane
So tell me how it should be

Try to find out what makes you tick
As I lie down
Sore and sick
Do you like that?
Do you like that?

There's a fine line between love and hate
And I don't mind
Just let me say that I like that
I like that

Something's getting in the way
Something's just about to break
I will try to find my place in the diary of Jane
As I burn another page
As I look the other way
I still try to find my place in the diary of Jane
So tell me how it should be

Desperate, I will crawl
Waiting for so long
No love, there is no love
Die for anyone
What have I become

Something's getting in the way
Something's just about to break
I will try to find my place in the diary of Jane
As I burn another page
As I look the other way
I still try to find my place
In the diary of Jane

this song is about him loving a girl and he THINKS he loves her back, but when she drowned in the tub by accident ( no she didnt kill herself) he looks in her diary to see if she had wrote about him. She never did write about him and this song is how mad he is but he still loves her he even thinks of suicide to get to her. its a deep meaning if you think about it because moslty everyone feels like that about someone in their life.

His wife committed suicide and he's wondering if he should kill himself, too, to be with her (hence the 'put myself right beside you') and he's reading her old diary to find out what she was thinking about him, but he can't figure out his place in her diary. So he's destroying the pages because he's heartbroken that she left him and didn't seem to care about him.

ACTUALLY the song is about what you think its about its not about one specific thing like other songs if you think its about god it is if you think its about a girl it is its about whatever YOU WANT IT TO BE! as all their other songs thats their purpose none of it is about a specific thing they do that so that song can mean something to EVERYONE

"PlayRadioPlay" he's asking whether or not she's okay with breaking his heart. Is she okay with watching him die inside for her own happiness.

He wants to know was he ever wanted in the heart of love. Will he know? He probably found the diary and saw that he wanted to be in the diary of jane. He knows the difference between love and friendship and knows this is not friendship. He knows the difference between love and hate and likes that there IS a difference. So he is trying to find love in the heart of his love.
