Take me back, take me back dear Lord
To the place where I first recieved you.
Take me back, take me back dear Lord where I
First believed.

I feel that I'm so far from you Lord
But still I hear you calling me
Those simple things that I once knew,
The memories are drawing me.
I must confess, Lord I've been blessed
But yet my soul's not satisfied.
Renew my faith, restore my joy
And dry my weaping eyes.

(Repeat Chorus)

I tried so hard,
To make it all alone.
I need your help
Just to make it home.

(Repeat Chorus)

Sometimes we get so caught up in what we're doing we forget what god has brought us through and from. Remind me lord that i am yours and that every thing that happens in my life is because of you lord and only you. So lord take me back remind me that i'm not to big to be humble, not to big to fall. Take me back when life was more similar and all i could do was to worship you and give you praise. We all need to be reminded every once in a while. God is in control, we can't even breathe on our own without his grace and mercy we are nothing. So lord take me back where i first recieved you. I need you lord renew my faith restore my joy and then lord i will be sure to give you all the praise because i know where i was before you came into my life and i don't want to be there again. Show me that those things i'm yearing for are not the things that i necessarily need.
