Leaves are on the ground
Fall has come
Blue skies turning grey
Like my love
I tried to carry you
And make you whole
But it was never enough
I must go
[Chorus:]
Who is gonna save you
When I'm gone?
And who'll watch over you
When I'm gone?
You say you care for me
But hide it well
How can you love someone
And not yourself?
[Chorus]
And when I'm gone
Who'll break your fall?
Who will you blame?
I can't go on
And let you lose it all
It's more than I can take
Who'll ease your pain?
Ease your pain
[Chorus:]
Who is gonna save you
When I'm gone?
Who'll watch over you?
Who will give you strength
When you're not strong?
Who'll watch over you
When I've gone away?
Snow is on the ground
Winters come
You long to hear my voice
But I'm long gone
i love this song ... but im pretty sure the lyrics are wrong when it says "i must go" its not "I" its "Fall" "Fall must go" listen to the song and see because i tried to see if i was wrong but im still convinced its "Fall Must Go"
This song reminds me of my ex, who was my best friend for 3 years before we got together. We still see eachother every now and then but I know it'll never be the same no matter how hard we try to go back to being the inseperable twins we used to be. that is, before anything ever happened between us. Sometimes I still feel like nobody will know him the way I do but now that I'm leaving the country, it just feels like this song says everything I want him to know.
For K. My twin. My best friend. My favorite home.
I'll always love you. Because its far too late to stop now.
It's such a sweet slow song... Reminds me so much (as most songs I love do) of my two best friends... While I use this song as a cutesy song with my very best friend (we only really have each other to fall back on when things go wrong, so it suits), I see this kind of pain, like he could be telling some girl who is breaking up with him all of that. But see, that's the beauty of music. It can be interpreted and used in many different ways.
