All Time Low – Missing You lyrics

[Verse 1]
I heard that you've been,
Self-medicating in the quiet of your room,
A sweet suburban tomb.
And if you need a friend,
I'll help you stitch up your wounds
.
I heard that you've been,
Having some trouble findind your place in the world,
I know how much that hurts
.
But if you need a friend,
Then please just say the word
.

[Pre-Chorus]
You've come this far, you're all cleaned up,
You've made a mess again.
There is no more trying, time to sort yourself out
.

[Chorus]
Hold on tight! This ride is a wild one.
Make no mistake, the day will come
When you can't cover up what you've done
.
Now don't lose your fight kid!
It only takes a little push to pull on trough.
There is so much left to do
,
You'll be missing out,
And we'll be missing you.

[Verse 2]
(C'mon!)
I heard that you've been,
Having some trouble finding your place in the world,
I know how much that hurts.
And if you need a friend,
Then please just say the word
.

[Pre-Chorus]
You've come this far, you're all cleaned up,
You've made a mess again
.
There is no more trying, time to sort yourself out.

[Chorus]
Hold on tight! This ride is a wild one.
Make no mistake, the day will come
When you can't cover up what you've done.
Now don't lose your fight kid!
It only takes a little push to pull on through.
With some much left to do,
You'll be missing out,
And we'll be missing you
.

[Hook]
Grit your teeth, pull your hair,
Paint the walls black in scream!
Fuck the world 'cause its is my life,
I'm gonna take it back and never for a second blame yourself
.

[Bridge]
Hold on tight, this ride is a wild one.
Make no mistake, the day will come
When you can't cover up what you've done.
(No you can't cover up)
(One, two, three, four!)

[Outro]
Hold on tight! This ride is a wild one (this ride is a wild one!).
Make no mistake, the day will come (the day will come)
When you can't cover up what you've done (what you've done).
Now, don't lose your fight kid! (Don't loose your fight kid)
It only takes a little push to pull through (little push to pull on through),
With so much left to do,
You'll be missing out,
And we'll be missing you.

I believe its about suicide and how All Time Low trying to help them get through it. Saying they'll be "missing out" and we'll be "missing you" as in probably suicide and they're missing out on the world? And how they cant find themselves in the world and cant cover up what you've done. Like cutting and cant covering them up anymore? And how getting through will be "wild" but you'll make it. I love this song because I can connect to it on a spiritual level and that's amazing. Hope this helped you understand!

I believe this song is about self harm and suicide. You're self medicating in your room. It's a wild one, meaning life itself is hard to get through especially when you can't find your place in the world. "you've come this far you're all cleaned up, you've made a mess again" means that you haven't been harming yourself for a while, but just couldn't help yourself from making a mess again. "the day will come when you can cover up what you've done" means one day you will go to far and cannot hide the fact of hurting yourself. You make have gone far to cut a vein or kill yourself. You'll be missing out on the world and the people in your life will be missing you. You have so much to do with your life.

"The day will come when you can't cover up what you've done" - I see this bit to be for people who self harm, that one day you won't be able to cover your cuts and scars and it will just all get too much. And this goes with the rest of the song being the theme of suicide, like the "self medicating" is overdosing in your bedroom to try to kill yourself.

I think it's about Alex's brother. I have my reasons. Because he mediated in the quite of his room. And he's saying he was always there for him, and when it says "you've come so far you're all grown up, you've made a mess again" it could be how people back track and that there will be a time when you can't run or cover yourself up anymore this is just my opinion tho, I'm not 100 on it.
