After Image – Next In Line lyrics

What has life to offer me when I grow old?
What's there to look forward to beyond the biting cold
They say it's difficult, yes, stereotypical.

What's
there beyond sleep, eat, work in this cruel life
Ain't there nothin' else 'round here but human strife
'Cause they say it's difficult, yes, stereotypical
Gotta be conventional, you can't be so radical.

Chorus:
So I sing this song to all of my age
For these are the questions we've got to face
For in this cycle that we call life
We are the ones who are next in line
We are next in line.

What has life to offer me when I grow old?
What's there to look forward to beyond the biting cold
'Cause they say it's difficult, yes, stereotypical
Gotta be conventional, you can't be so radical.

So I sing this song to all of my age
For these are the questions we've got to face
For in this cycle that we call life
We are the ones who are next in line
We are next in line
Oh-hoh, we are next in line.

Bridge:
And we gotta work, we gotta feel (we gotta feel)
Let's open our eyes and do whatever it takes
We gotta work, we gotta feel (we gotta feel)

Let's open our eyes, oh-woh

And sing this song to all of our age
For these are the questions we've got to face
For in this cycle that we call life
We are the ones who are next in line

Sing this song for me
Sing this song for me

The song "Next In Line" simply tells us the reality that the existence of life is like a star that shines at night and disappears in the morning. And as another evening approach, another star gleams, that takes the place of the former. It's just a basic reminder that we are now on the line of life, but we don't have the power to stay on it, and whether we like it or not, we will leave and those who are next in line will stand where we exactly are before.
The star that we see each night, might not always be the same star on the following dusk. So, as long as it's still up in the sky, we should see it. Same as life, we should enjoy it as long as we are the pilot; because not all the time, it's ours, there are some who waits for their turn. We shouldn't worry about the future, let us not be excited of what tomorrow will bring but let us enjoy life and feel every moment that passes by.

This songs simply tells as the reality that life is passing like a flower the bloom in the morning and fadeth away at noon. And as another morning new flower will bloom and pass this what we called cycle of life, its just a basic reminder that now we are on the said line but we don't have the power to stay on it we will leave and those who are next in line will stand where we exactly stand. What makes it sad is our life doesn't stop there we still have to face eternity as a consequence of today how we live this passing life for tomorrow some of as are gone already prepare to meet your maker! (jme).
