I think the artist is trying to explain that no matter where you are, if people are talking crap about you, it doesn't mean that they control your social life. They are just pissed that you're better than them in every way possible. You can either give in to their taunts or you can ignore them and do what you want in life. "...I am better than you'll ever be (Than you'll ever be.)" The artist is saying that he rose above those people who told him "You won't be able to do what he wants in life." "You are a fail." and other put-downs. Rise above the rest and be someone you want to be in life.
