I believe this song is about a girl who fell in love with a man, someone she thought was her prince charming, and she put her whole self into the relationship and gave her heart to him. She thought he gave his heart as well but it turns out that he's just an immature little boy who lies and dates one girl at a time until he gets what he wants and moves on. He's completely heartless until he realizes that he's just empty inside and being with her filled him and he had true happiness with her and he was just scared to take full commitment but wants her back becasue he's ready to take that step but he ruined his chances.
