To me this song is applicable to anyone, like me, who has to leave their loved ones behind to do something whether it's a deployment, a band traveling, school, work. I have lived this type of life for just shy of ten years and my wife who I have to leave behind in order to support us, is always on my mind and keeps me going. No matter how far away or what I am doing, it won't destroy what we have. And over the miles she can make me smile when I'm lonely and I always hope she will visit me in my dreams each night until we are together again. :) Thank God for the internet to connect. It's at least something. When it works. :)
