Sorry to those guys and girls who think this song is about love. This song is a actually a religious/ christian song. Trevor likened his life to a candle. He gave that candle to God. In short, this wants to tell that we must give our lives to God. The singer hopes that people will never understand what he did or why he is doing it (and they might never understand why I do what I do), but still he will keep on moving for the Lord.
That is the real meaning of the song, and I know it becoz I am also a Baptist like Trevor Mcnevan, vocalist of fm static.
I love the song.

The song tells about a newbie on a town. The boy doesn't feel he belongs to the place. But then someone tells him that it takes time to move on and realized that he's a member of the town.
Sometimes people also experience this. Most people think their a stranger to someone. That's way they avoid getting along with these people. But what they don't know is that it takes time to know every person.

It's another great song by fm static.
