The girl (I'm assuming it's a girl) is fine during the day, but when she's sitting in bed (as stated in the chorus) she begins to think about dark things, like her death. She begins to doubt her worth. In the line above, it talks about boys chasing her hips. This indicates that she has probably slept around because she thinks she isn't good enough, and she regrets it and wants the boys who have heard about her reputation to leave her alone.
