I shouldn't have posted the last sentence, you're right. Now, repinj I personally don't believe your grandchild will ever be changed. It isn't a matter of if god loves you and your grandchild. And I don't know why you would think people would choose to be different, shunned by people. It is becoming more accepted by some parts of society, but obviously not all. G** people commit suicide, because they don't want to be that way, they don't want to be different. My 2nd cousin, my mom's cousin, is g**. She used to baby sit him and says they always knew he was different. I doubt he would have decided that at that young age. Okay, now think about when you fell in love with your wife, assuming you have/had one since you have grandchildren. Did you think, "Oh, I want to be attracted to her. I think I'm going to fall in love now." No, because that's not how things work. You cannot help who you like. So in my belief, yes they were born that way. And I do not feel a song encouraging them to embrace the person that they are and that they are no lesser of a person than anyone else is in any way wrong.

@repinj okay I'm a Christian but you're seriously crazy. This is a song about not judging others and not thinking you are a lesser person because of judgmental people like you. Matthew 7: 1-2 "judge not, that you be not judged. for with the judgment you pronounce, you will be judged, and with the measure you use it will be measured to you" so shove that up your a* and get a life.
