Yes this was about drummer and co-founder of Breaking Benjamen Formally known as Plan 9, Hummel. He was kicked out of the band due to the fact that he was on maternity leave to spend time with his new baby boy Julian. Benjamen had gotten impatient and started to seek out new drummers. Eventually Terminating Hummel. Not being compensated for his labor he contributed to the band, he rightfully sued. My opinion, this made Benjamen look like a tool bag. Great song though. Artist that write their own lyrics: their pain speaks the sweetest to me.
