This slightly different chorus along with verse 2 helped me realize that this entire song has a deeper and darker meaning than I originally thought. Personally, for Marc it's about how his drug and alcohol lifestyle are affecting his mind, ambitions and relationships, especially with Sharon. However, in a broader sense this song is about his guilt and shame about how far down the rabbit hole his sister Sharon has travelled and how he feels powerless to help her, knowing that if something were to happen to her ("steal my sunshine") that it would be the end for him as well ("I know it's done for me...if you steal my sunshine").

that week
My sticky paws were in to making straws
Out of big fat Slurpee treats
An incredible eight foot heap
Now the funny glare to pay a gleaming tare
In a staring under heat
Involved an under usual feat
And I'm not only among
But I invite who I want to come
So I missed a million miles
Again, this song isn't about sweet treats for kids. I think the park is a place that Sharon and others (see below explanation of "And I'm not only among") were providing sexual acts for money and every line of verse 2 as well as the chorus supports this.
My interpretation is that Sharon is talking about giving blowjob to a line of men ("eight foot heap"). She was using her "sticky paws" to make "straws out of big fat Slurpee treats".
"Now the funny glare to pay a gleaming tare" is when the men are paying her "under heat" from the "staring" police and "involved an under usual (unusual) feat" meaning it took some craftiness and skill to avoid detection. The word tare is what most people hear but I think it's supposed to be the word "terror" because she was probably a no-nonsense sex worker as I would imagine most are or she was a terror going through men.
As I stated earlier the words "And I'm not only among" refers to the fact that she was not the only provider in the park and that she had control of who she serviced ("But I invite who I want to come"). Lastly, this lifestyle meant she missed out on "a million miles of fun".

Verse 2 is sung by and all about Sharon. I know my explanation for this entire verse will not be acceptable to many people but as much as this song sounds like a happy child's song it is most definitely not. The song is about drugs, alcohol, promiscuous sex and how that lifestyle will lead to missing out on a million miles of fun and happiness. This verse starts out innocently with Sharon hanging out in a park.

Marc's sister Sharon Costanzo has been into the drugs and casual sex raving as well. I would imagine that Sharon is in pretty bad shape when her friends see her. When Chad asks what she got up to last night and Tim responds, I think it is a reference to the casual sex often associated with raves.

Marc (and maybe Sharon too) feels that he can't get too deep into the drugs and alcohol lifestyle or he won't be able to stay on his feet and accomplish his goals. It's that lifestyle that has the potential to steal his sunshine and keep him in the darkness.

Marc is saying that you can't become great at something or accomplish something if you only talk about it, which is what he has done for most of his life. So, he has regrets about his life and feels he has missed opportunities ("miles of fun").

His friends are joking about bringing him a "butter tart" (which is a sexy slutty blond girl) to cheer him up. He's probably had his fill of slutty girls over the previous 3 days of raving.
