I've been listening to this somewhat wistful song for decades now. There is more than a hint of longing and loss and a wish to return to something that was, something fine that the singer once had. While "Moroco" is enigmatic, it seems to represent the best of the memory, perhaps a place where a love affair that was truly fine once flourished, but that the singer didn't cherish enough at the time. And now, it's been a "long, long time." Now, he looks back and sees her eyes shine, and the memory alone gives him a taste of something fine.
