This whole song is talking bout how shes getting over a break up. Its first goes how much it hurt then it goes to how she cried and sobbed and then finally she realized that he doesn't even matter. It took her some time to get over him but she finally did and she felt clean. She thought that she was going to drown but then she gets up and moves on. It took her 10 months to fully recover but now shes all better and will move on with her life.

And if he actually was alive she would hate the person who started the joke. She thought that he was the one and that she thought they would be together forever. It's been 7 days since he called her to say he loved her and she still heard his voice. That no matter what she does she can't get "if you say so" out of her head. And that because of him dieing he woke a light of darkness in her and it hurts her. And he died aka the fallen hero its all she things about. Demi is amazing in this song and its pretty much saying that say what you want to say but it wouldn't affect her that shes stronger than how strong you though she was. Its saying that shes better that now nothing going to affect her that shes has let them affect her before but now she wouldn't let that happen again. That shes done with peoples stuff that it doesn't even matter to her anymore. You can tell she sang and wrote this song form her own experiences because at this time she was going though some stuff and this song appeared when she got back and shes coming back say that's noting will affect her because shes already let that happened and she almost lost everything and she wouldn't let that happen anymore.
