To me this song is telling the aftermath of a love story gone bad. It tells of someone feeling remorse for trying to rite wrongs in their partner that were never really there at all. This person loved their significant other so much that they started to see their own insecurity manifest in them. Then drove them away with constant attempts to fix something that wasn't broken. Ultimately leaving this person to constantly try to prove his/herself over and over because no matter what he/she can't let go. Pretty much saying they would do whatever it took anytime day or night, yet still being rejected.

He's saying If he could he would make her notice him again and see him the way she did before, and If he can't, he is saying he would rather her lie than to hear her say she doesn't love or care for him anymore. "I'd Take the coldness from your eyes" is him saying (if he knew how or was able) he would fix the wrong he has done that has made her feel the need to be so distant and detached toward him. Even though she doesn't want to acknowledge him its obvious to her that he is having trouble letting go, so she tells him if he really loves her he needs to accept the fact that he isn't whats best for her now and he needs to let go.

this again is him showing he's conscious of her feelings and aware that she is not responding to anything he tries.. still, no matter what he has to do, or how little if ever she acknowledges his efforts, this woman is his everything. he will never let go of, or get over her

this goes back to the distant and detached state she is in... its like no matter what he has done or went through to prove himself and atone for what he has done she's been hurt so badly by him that nothing he can do will ever make a difference or open her eyes again

If he could he would make it so that she would notice him again. If he can't then he would rather she lie to him than to tell him she really doesn't care anymore. He would fix things so that she wasn't distant, and didn't act detached from him anymore. Even with his unwavering attempts, he still can't brake through. She can't take it anymore so she tell him if he really loves her he needs to let her go.

He keeps searching and searching for a way to bring her back to him. Some way to fix things so they can start over again now that he can see what he's done wrong, and if it were ever possible to sort out or compensate for what he has done he would do just that without a moments thought. Right now wouldn't be fast enough.

to me this song seems to be well written in metaphors. he has destroyed this person with his insecurity, and continuous attempts to fix her when she was perfect all along. he felt the need to make her complete, not knowing she was already everything he ever needed

I feel the first two lines here are pretty straight forward. Just saying no body wants to deal with your s**t. The third telling how the writer feels about this certain person. And the last two are the writer saying this person is oblivious, or thinks they have everyone fooled about who they really are. Then saying he's had enough and its time to quit sugar coating. I've had enough now ill tell you what I, and everyone else thinks of you and your bull s**t.

This is the introduction to addiction. It starts off trying something to get high, then turns into are occurring thing. And regardless of how many times you are arrested or taken to the hospital because of your addiction, you still fail to see the light.

The first two lines here are saying that each time you use to keep yourself level/or sane you're slowly digging your own grave. If you know anything about addiction the third line is self explanatory. Everytime you try to quit you feel powerless against the voice in your ear telling you "just one more time". The last line tells the inevitable outcome of addiction. No matter how much love you have for anything or anyone, if you can't eventually beat the addiction you end up sacrificing everything for it.

These lines explain how people always say that you are killing yourself with your addiction. Well even though an addict we are not stupid and know the effects of addiction. And the "war" is your personal on going battle of trying to feel normal while not trying to over do it. Once in the fight, you can never win the battle, even after a long recovery for an addict 1 isn't enough and just the thought of 1 is too many. Man down.

This song has nothing to do with a girl. Its a life of addiction. It is repeatedly telling yourself that you don't have a problem.
