You know them dreams where you are falling until you hit the bottom but just before you hit the bottom you wake up with a twitch or a fright, yeah well in kate's dream she kept going and she hit the bottom and she didn't wake up before she hit. And at the bottom it was the end of the world and everyone was dead so she was recalling everything that happened in her life through all the sad and rough times etc.
