I think the lyrics are all about being drawn into temptation, as opposed to doing the right thing. Throughout the song, there is a definite vibe of Drug use and addiction she is referring to. Liking the "Bad Boy" drug dealing boyfriend as opposed to choosing the Law Student from Greenwich, Connecticut is about betraying her parents and being drawn into an abyss of self-loathing, stagnation and spiraling into self-Destruction. That being said, I think the melody of the song is a masterpiece. There is some Bollywood influence here (an Italian Girl from nyc doesn't have a Pseudo Mumbai-Haitian accent. Gaga dabbles into a Techno Contemplation in the use of underlying thoughts in between verses. "A King with no crown" refers to Jesus not having saved the world yet. A crown is made of gold, whereas Christs' is of thorns, shows inferiority. The words: "wash his feet with my hair" refers to Mary Magdalene washing the feet of Christ the eve of Judas turning Christ over to the Romans; Judas criticized Mary Magdalene for using Spikenard, (an extremely expensive perfume). Judas chastized Magdalene saying "the money spent on washing Christs' feet with perfume and her tears should have been donated to the poor"! There is a reference to s**, and s** for money minus the repentance (That quintessential Carlo Dolci painting of "The Penetant Magdalene"). "Fame hooker", (Hustling Popularity and any Cost), "prostitute wench", (Selling one's body for money) "vomits her mind" (The Dumb Blonde incapable of deep conversation). The up-beat, brassy tempo is addicting, the melody a successful composition of pleasure and overall a very unique and important piece of Music.
