I think that the people below me have the idea and I somewhat agree with them except for karn. I don't thing that person is right. Sry. But personal I think that he feels like hes not ready for a relationship and he has to finish doing what he feels like he should be doing. He feels like he can't give her the attention she deservers and mabey he will comeback, but he wants her to wait for him. Even if its in the afterlife. You can disagree with me if you want. But I think that is what the song is trying to say.
