In fact, this song isn't the first of its kind. It is simply the first of it's kind to come out into the mainstream spotlight. My prediction is, sure a lot of crappy artists may seek to copy the trend, but perhaps more unknown artists who already have this kind of edgy homosexual feel to it will get more known. I suppose this could be actually a beneficial thing; it brings out more music into the world. I've heard a lot of homosexual lyrics and music in the electronica scene that is actually really, really good.
Then again, I'm not 100% for our radio stations being dominated by homosexual edgy music. I mean, there's only so much sexual music one can take.
