The storms in life are seen approaching us and about to take over, but remember that they're also the nutrients we need to learn and grow as people. Try not to look at the clouds but at the result of the lesson to be learned.

They bring the flowers that bloom in May
As dark and cloudy as things get on rainy days, there is no other way that Spring and its sun and flowers can come without the cloudy days. In life, there is no way to always have wonderful days without some darkness in between. Without the darkness there is no way to appreciate the good days. They'd become common and unfeeling.

When April showers may come your way
A reference to a time in life when you cannot see the sun, meaning that things look dark. After the dark and cold of winter we look forward to Spring and its sunshine. While we're waiting for sun and warm weather the rain must come. This is the same in life. When you've been down and things don't look very promising, you look forward to a time when things will be brighter but it doesn't happen overnight and some dark times will visit before it becomes bright again.
