I have heard this song since I was a young girl. Recently, the song took on a different meaning to me. My son was deployed to Afghanistan. I sat at home thinking about how strange, scary, and lonesome it must be for all of those men and women. Then I heard this song in my head. I was allowed some release of my emotions and understood that many of our military men and women who are deployed must feel this way at times.
