Ha, if you've ever read Breaking Dawn isn't this totally the romanian dudes' theme song?!
Anyway. I love this song so much. Not entirely sure what it means. I am pretty sure, however, that the song isn't about religion, it just uses religious references as analogies, kind of like some Evanescence songs. Anyway, I'm not an altogether Coldplay fan-- don't like, don't dislike-- but this song is at the top of my 'most played' list. Love it.

Yeah, I think it's about a suicide. I believe that the person who's about to die doesn't regret her decision, because she's confident that she and her love will meet again. However, I think that their might be a little doubt about where she'll end up. "Look for me in the white forest, hiding in a hollow tree" might mean that she's hiding somewhere, so that she won't be taken away before she makes good on her promise that they'll meet again. Brilliant song, very poetic lyrics.

The band actually said on an interview that this song is literally about some guy who died early, and wanted to go back to earth. In the song, it kind of leads you to believe that the man will be allowed to go back, but then you hear the laughing, which is supposed to mean that he's staying in the afterlife. It's one of my all-time favorite songs--syn gates' guitar playing is wicked--and I love a7x, especially their new stuff. It's great.
