Actually I think he means to say that regardless of what we do, nature will still live on. It survived dinosoars, meteors, primative men and an ice age, so it will probably outlast us and if nessesary eradicate us. If you listen you hear him "say go photograph everything that ever passed in time" then you might say that hes saying take a look at what nature has already survived, and what has already fallen as a result of natures surval methods. Ex. Ice age, volcanoes, hurricanes, ect.
