Your just a small bump unborn just four months then torn from life.
Maybe you were needed up there but we're still un-aware as why
These last two lines shift the focus of the song from the hopes and dreams of the author for a life with his child to the harsh reality of a miscarriage after only four months. The last line in particular indirectly questions why it was that this happened to such an innocent life and the family that was expecting.

Oh Henry, have you got something to tell me?
'Cause everybody's been sayin
You been runnin' around
Oh Henry, I know you wouldn't hurt me
Don't you know that we don't need
One more grave in this town
This verse of the song essentially introduces the idea that "Henry" is running around behind his loyal wife's back, and is, in fact, cheating on her. The second and third lines imply that everyone else in town has been aware of this fact for some time. There is also a not-so-subtle threat to Henry's life as implied by the line "one more grave in this town."

Oh Lord, Oh Lord, what do I do?
I’ve fallen for someone who’s nothing like you
He’s raised on the edge of the devil’s backbone
In this particular line, the singer is acknowledging the fact that the man she has fallen for is not good news, and is in fact the very opposite of how she was raised to be. When she writes that he was raised "on the edge of the devil's backbone" she means that this man is so contrary to the good image of the lord that she compares him to the prodigy of the devil.
