It's really about the Purple Man, who murders the kiddies in the games mini-games, and when the word came out that the 5(6) children got murdered, and the mother realized where her son went, was with a killer and got murdered, so it was a slaughter, because the Purple Man slaughtered the children in cold blood, also they didn't know who did it, so they call him the 'monster' and must've been partly because he wore the Golden Freddy suit to trick them, therefore, he was a monster.
