Unlike the games, the Pokémon introduces the viewer - or, us - to a new way of battling. Moves are used differently in the anime rather than the games. In the games, the player can use the same attack. Over and over... and over...
Repeatedly just to beat their opponents. However, in the anime, because the Pokémon battles aren't turn-based on a two-dimensional screen, they can use strategy. For example, in the game, a level ten Mudkip against a level ten Torchic would end up with the Mudkip beating the Torchic because of type disadvantage. However, in the anime, Pokémon's powers aren't as limited - they can actually fight with strategy instead of being limited to using moves.

It's a brand new game
Because Ash has introduced himself to a new Region, it is completely new to him, and therefore a brand new game. Further, Pokémon Diamond and Pearl (and Platinum) are all new games. They make up - along with HeartGold and SoulSilver - the fourth generation of Pokémon. This being the first season of the new series, the song states that it is a new game.
The same definition basically goes for "In a brand new world" as well but... why copy and paste? :P

"Battle Frontier" is the name of the season of the Pokemon anime in which this song is the theme song to. The Battle Frontier is also:
1. An extra part of the game (Emerald only - this wasn't a part of Ruby and Sapphire. However, it was added in Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire).
2. A whole new part of Ash's journey in Hoenn.
The anime explains this as an event in the Kanto region where Trainers collect six "Frontier Symbols, " which are basically gym badges, to reveal the location of the seventh and final Frontier Symbol.
