This is basically saying that handsome or beautiful people are the ones that mostly break people's hearts, they get whatever they want, they make people cry, and they are extremely cruel. They play with people's hearts and feelings leaving them to cry and question their relationship. I can relate this to my last boyfriend so was fairly cute and sweet, but then broke up with me for a more attractive girl. In this part of the song it's saying that this person has been dumped by someone they thought was "the one" but then cut them loose.

The song is saying that if you don't do this then this will happen to you and no one wants anything bad happen to them or their family.
